Liz Dux, who represents more than 70 Savile victims said “I see a lot of these cases, but even I am truly shocked by the scale of what is now emerging. The fact that it is so late in the day that people are able to speak out; and largely they are able to speak out because of the very open debate that has happened post Savile.
Many of them now want to see if their abusers can be prosecuted. Savile died before he could be brought to justice and these victims now don’t want to leave it so late for their own past abusers to try to ensure that a criminal prosecution occurs.”
Liz was interviewed by LBC Radio London and the Times newspaper about the number of new victims of historic abuse who are now coming forward.
