Although a further report into Stoke Mandeville was also planned to be published this has now been delayed until the autumn.
Slater & Gordon Lawyers currently represent 176 of Savile's abuse victims, one welcomed the publication but said she hoped it would be comprehensive, “We have waited a long time for this report and I am nervous but hopeful at the same time. I want it to recommend what should happen to make sure no-one ever has to go through what I have again.”

For far too long they were ignored. When they did report Savile's abuse they were told to ‘shut up’ or were threatened. It has taken a lot of courage on their part to come forward and their fight for some redress, for some justice, goes on.
“The cover up of Jimmy Savile’s horrific reign of abuse was widespread. It is frankly astounding he got away with such attacks on such a regular basis for so long. The fact he was not brought to justice in his lifetime casts a long shadow over this country and many of its most-trusted institutions.
"We believe those people who knew about Savile’s sickening crimes were complicit in his abuse. They decided his fundraising and the reputation of their organisation was more important than the welfare of vulnerable children and young people.
“The people in trusted positions who allowed Savile to abuse, who covered up his crimes, astonishingly, did not break the law. This loophole must be plugged. We believe a form of Mandatory Reporting to the authorities of accusations of child abuse within institutions would have stopped Savile. We are campaigning Parliament to make this law now to stop an outrage like this ever happening again – we owe it to the victims.”
